10. Who is NTT-DoCoMo?

 

10.1. The company:

NTT DoCoMo is a subsidiary of Japan's incumbent telephone operator NTT. About 44% of NTT-DoCoMo's shares is owned by NTT, and Japan's Government is the largest shareholder of NTT. NTT-DoCoMo's shares are listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Osaka Stock Exchange and New York Stock Exchange (DCM). NTT-DoCoMo initially had the 100% monopoly of mobile communications in Japan, however, today NTT-DoCoMo's market share has shrunk to around 50%.
